Ash is a business strategy projects resource with over 30 years of experience in Financial Services, Consumer Marketing, and Media.

Ash works closely with leading Indian business houses on their strategic business initiatives and projects. This typically includes turnarounds and revamps of businesses or starting up of new ones. He has been associated with several such projects of the L&T Group, the Tata Group, the Mahindra Group, and the SPIC Group among others.

Typically his work either includes restructuring, revising, and executing strategies to meet a company’s business goals; or expansion of its business inorganically through acquisition and integration.

Earlier Ash was Chief Marketing Officer of DSP Merrill Lynch; and an Executive Director (and Chief of Marketing) of UTI Asset Management Company. He has also held portfolios as the CEO of L&T Mutual Fund, Chief of Marketing & Business Development at HSBC Investments, CEO of JM Mutual Fund, Head of Group Sales & Marketing at Kotak Life Insurance, and CEO of Readers’ Digest India. He was also Head of Strategy Planning at JWT India and Head of Client Services at Trikaya Grey Advertising.

Ash is a member of SEBI’s National Institute of Securities Markets’ Committee for Continuing Professional Education, as well as the Committee for Nomination of Resource Persons. Besides, for over a dozen years Ash has been involved with Professional Teaching and Training at the Indian Institute of Capital Markets, National Institute of Securities Markets, Indian Institute of Bankers, Somaiya Institute of Management & Research, and Symbiosis Institute of Management.
