Ambi is a Brand Strategist, Author, and Founder of Brand-Building.com, a brand advisory. He was recently CEO and E.D. at FCB Ulka Advertising, one of India’s top five ad agencies. In a 35-year-long career, he has handled assignments in marketing, sales, and advertising with several leading companies before dropping anchor at FCB Ulka Advertising over two decades ago. He has been key in transforming Ulka Advertising into FCB Ulka Group, one of India’s top three marketing communication groups. He has worked on numerous brands including Digene, Santoor Soap, Sundrop, TCS, ICICI Bank, Wipro, Tata Indica, and Zee TV, covering diverse categories.

Ambi is a profile writer, and author of 8 books and has conducted seminars/workshops for Indian/MNC organizations and industry bodies, has been a speaker at international forums, has been a guest faculty at several premier business schools, and has presented papers at international conferences. He has served as the President of Advertising Club Bombay and of Advertising Agencies Association of India. He is a Member of Board of Governors of IIM Calcutta.
